2010 Virginia Communications Hall of Fame Inductee sponsored by Virginia Commonwealth University

Born in Petersburg, Virginia, Bob Jones, Jr. spent five years as a Navy combat photographer before striking out on his own. As an independent photographer Bob works for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike, and has photos in some of the nation’s top magazines.

Over the years he has taken home many awards including CLIO/The One Show Communication Arts awards and has been a four-time winner of the Virginina Press Photographer of the Year award. Bob’s work is shown in many museums across the country, including the CA Museum of Photography, the American Visionary Museum in Baltimore and the Wexner Center of Arts.

Bob is recognized for his unusually powerful portrtait style and candid photos of people, from CEOs to children in third world countries. Bob currently resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Beth, three sons Jon Michael, Brittain, and Robert as well as his three dogs Sailor, Millie and Mr. Bob.
